About

Your PC, one message away

JIMMY is an AI agent that runs on your Windows PC and takes orders from your own WhatsApp chat.

Why JIMMY exists

A lot of small jobs need your computer but not you at your desk: finding a file and sending it, checking something, replying to an email, tidying a folder. JIMMY lets you do them from your phone, in the chat app you already use, by writing what you want in plain words.

What it stands for

It runs on your PC

JIMMY lives on your computer, not in someone else’s cloud. Its memory, logs and settings stay there; your account on this website only holds your plan and licence key. The privacy policy lists exactly what leaves your PC and why.

You stay in control

When JIMMY needs your OK is decided in its code, not by the AI. Reading and looking things up just happen; changes wait for your YES; messaging people, deleting or sending email also needs your PIN. File changes can be undone, and /stop halts everything at once.

Honest about the trade-offs

JIMMY is early software, and it connects to WhatsApp the way WhatsApp Web does rather than through an official API. Those risks are stated plainly, in the terms and before you install, not hidden.

Your choice of AI

Use the AI you already trust (Antigravity, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Groq or OpenRouter), or a model on your own PC so nothing leaves it at all.

How it’s built

  • A small Windows app sits in the taskbar tray and starts with Windows. It keeps JIMMY’s agent running and restarts it if it stops.
  • The agent connects to your WhatsApp chat, understands what you ask, and does it, checking every step against your permissions.
  • A dashboard, reachable only from your own PC, shows everything JIMMY does and lets you change what it may touch.
  • Updates are checked daily, installed only when you agree, and signed, so the app refuses anything that didn’t come from JIMMY’s releases.

Who makes it

JIMMY is designed and built by Vedansh Danot, an independent developer in India. He writes every part of it himself, from the Windows app and the WhatsApp agent to this website, and answers support emails personally. You can follow his work on GitHub.

The mascot is Jimmy, an orange cat in a red scarf who is usually at his laptop with a coffee.
