Terms of service

The deal for using JIMMY and this website, in plain words. Please read the parts about early software and WhatsApp in particular.

Agreement

By downloading, installing or using JIMMY, or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them. “JIMMY” means the Windows app and this website. JIMMY is made and run by Vedansh Danot, an independent developer in India (“I”, “me”).

Early software

JIMMY is early (alpha) software that acts on your PC: it can open, move, copy and delete files, run scripts, send messages and email for you. It will have bugs. Keep backups of anything important.

Your responsibility

  • You decide what JIMMY may touch (its allowed folders and apps) and what it does. Read approval messages before replying YES, and keep your PIN private.
  • JIMMY uses AI to understand requests and plan steps. AI can be wrong; check results that matter. You’re responsible for messages and emails sent from your accounts.
  • You need the right to use the PC, accounts and files you connect to JIMMY.

WhatsApp and other services

JIMMY connects to WhatsApp the same way WhatsApp Web does, but it is not an official WhatsApp client. WhatsApp’s terms don’t allow unofficial clients, so your WhatsApp account could be restricted or banned. By using JIMMY you accept that risk.

When you connect other services (Gmail, an AI provider, GitHub), their own terms apply too, and any costs from those services, such as AI usage on your own API key, are yours. JIMMY isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by WhatsApp, Meta, Google, or any AI provider.

Acceptable use

Don’t use JIMMY to:

  • send spam, or message people who haven’t agreed to hear from you;
  • access accounts, computers or data you aren’t allowed to;
  • break the law, or harm, harass or deceive anyone;
  • attack, overload or try to break this website or its services.

Your account

  • You must be 18 or older to create an account and buy a plan.
  • Give accurate details and keep your sign-in safe. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
  • One account per person. Don’t share or resell your account or licence key.

Plans and payment

JIMMY is offered on two plans:

  • Monthly, $9.99 a month. Starts with a 3-day free trial; cancel before it ends and you aren’t charged. After the trial it renews automatically every month until you cancel. Cancel any time from your dashboard (billing portal); JIMMY keeps working until the end of the month you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
  • Lifetime, $29 once. A founder deal for the first 100 buyers only; once they’re sold it’s no longer offered. One payment, no recurring charge. It covers JIMMY and its updates for as long as JIMMY is offered. If I ever stop offering JIMMY, the version you have keeps working on your PC.

Prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record: it sells JIMMY to you, charges your payment method, adds any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live, and sends your invoice. Its own terms apply to the payment. If a monthly renewal fails, Dodo Payments retries for a short time; if it still fails, the plan ends. I may change prices for new purchases; a price change for an existing monthly plan is announced by email at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then.

Licence keys

  • Buying a plan gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use JIMMY on one PC at a time, with a licence key shown on your dashboard.
  • To move JIMMY to another PC, revoke the old PC on your dashboard, then enter the key on the new one.
  • JIMMY checks your licence online once a day. If the plan ends, is refunded, or the PC is revoked, JIMMY locks until a valid key is entered. Your data on your PC is never deleted.
  • You may not copy, resell, share, reverse-engineer or bypass the licence check, except where the law allows it.

Refunds

If JIMMY isn’t right for you, you get your money back within 7 days, no questions asked. This applies to a Lifetime purchase and to the first payment of a Monthly plan. Email pykalki@gmail.com from the address on your account, or use the contact form, within 7 days of paying. The refund goes back to your original payment method through Dodo Payments, usually within 5–10 business days, and the licence key stops working.

Monthly renewals aren’t refunded, but you can cancel at any time to stop the next one. Nothing here limits refunds you’re entitled to by law, for example if JIMMY doesn’t work as described.

No warranty

JIMMY is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or fit for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, I’m not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, files, accounts or profits, arising from using JIMMY. My total liability is limited to what you paid for JIMMY in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law doesn’t allow to be limited.

Ending and changes

  • You can stop using JIMMY at any time by uninstalling it, and cancel a monthly plan at any time. To delete your account, email me.
  • I may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, for example for abuse, fraud or sharing licence keys. If I end your access without you breaking these terms, I’ll refund the unused part of what you paid.
  • I may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and important changes will be noted in the changelog. Using JIMMY after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If there’s a dispute, please contact me first and I’ll try to sort it out within 30 days. If we can’t, the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protections of the laws where you live that can’t be set aside by agreement.
